Right then. My dad told me today that he's driven a Ferrari 250 GT Short Wheel Base, and that got me more hooked on the Ferraris than ever. when I asked him what it was like to drive, his reply was 'Like a Ferrari' . But that also got me wondering if there are any driving games with the 250 GTO in it.IP: Logged |

I'm probably gonna give you more information than you need here, but try Need For Speed IV: High Stakes. The Ferrari 250 GTO is actually an add-on car but it's done quite well from what I can gather. Here's a pic: To download it, click here: http://62.27.37.103/ftp2_2/nfszone/fgto.zip (1.67MB) The site I found it from is: http://nfs4.gamesweb.de/ It's mainly in German though, but there's heaps of other NFS sites out there. If you have time to look, you can find hundreds or even thousands of add-on cars for that game. I'll admit some are downright crap, but when you take the time to sort through them, you can find some real gems Although physics for NFS 4 may not be as good as other racing sims, it has a slight 'arcade' feel to it, still, worth downloading if you already have the game. ------------------ Current projects: * Drivable ground object pack: 64% * Drivable ground object tutorial: 60% * Ju88A4 DM v6.3: 95% Visit FS:SDOE Online [This message has been edited by Harman_5 (edited 05-06-2001).] IP: Logged |

You may be in luck Semmern, EA made a dedicated Porsche sim recently that featured pretty much every single Porsche ever made, (NFS V), it has pretty good physics and graphics, runs well too. Who knows, EA may be working on another single car make dedicated sim soon, Ferrari maybe? ------------------ Current projects: * Drivable ground object pack: 64% * Drivable ground object tutorial: 60% * Ju88A4 DM v6.3: 95% Visit FS:SDOE Online IP: Logged |

Werner, I have NFS V for sure. I think the Factory Driver thing is great! But I've thought about that. Now that they'd done Porsche, it's likely that they may be doin Ferrari as well, I mean, it's a strange choice if they do something else, like Mazda . If it was up to me, NFS 7 would be Ferrari-themed.IP: Logged |

Just played the demo... The physics really stink IMO. Cars handle WAY too easily amongst other things... The graphics are nice, but real hoggy and somewhat low detail looking. I also dont really care for those 2d cockpits, it totally takes away from the emmersiveness. Its fun at times tho! Overall I give it about a 5-6. IP: Logged |
