What plane would fall into the 'Pretty Jets' folder in your reference library??
Here are some of mine:

Martin P6M Seamaster: (Now that's something for you plane builders...hint, hint .

Then there's of course the dh.106 Comet:

There are some more, but I can't remember them now.

The Viggen is a cool thing. Also the Draken and the MFI-105 Supporter.
Darth, the Ekranoplan was a big, eight-engined plane that flew on the ground effect, and it could transport 1000 tons of cargo, or 1000 infantry blokes.

The prettiest jets Ive seen would have to be the F9F-6 Cougar, Hawker Hunter, Go 229, XB-45 Tornado, XB-46 Concair, English Electric Canberra B Mk 2 or a B-58A Hustler.

F-4 Phantom II, without a shadow of a doubt. THE most beautiful plane ever made, IMHO.

Thats my Dad, , I am so damn proud of him.

I think your a bit less than objective there Aladar... the ol' Double Ugly (pilot's nickname for the Phantom) for prettiest jet... (No offense intended Aladar - I too am extremly proud of my fathers military service of 20+ years)

I'd have to pin prettiest jet on... the SR-71 - it's sleek and somehow sinister lines just do it for me! (I know, alot of people think it as ugly, if not uglier, than fresh roadkill.)

Prop driven flying wing was the XB35. Jet driven was YB49 (not a retrofit....)

Lord Darth(bob) , did you watch 'Extreme machines' on Discovery, Tuesday a week or two back?? There were some cool video clips of the Ekranpoplan there. Man, was it a big thing! I'd think it gets crowded with 1000 infantry blokes in there.

'No, Vladimir, you vill have to leafe your Vodka bottle behind. Othervise ve'll not be able to take off.'
