Details on each episode - this series apparently cost 70+ million and with Speilberg involved we can expect it to look good. Airs in September. It covers all the major campaigns of the 101st on the Western front. I can't wait.

btw.
your president, Mr. W.Bush want a clean world ? of course, but he like americas money first. dont write his signature about the emisioncontract(have i write this correct)
america first , than the rest.if u mean , the german president think the same for germany , then u dont know Gerhard Schröder, its not possible so in europe, and this is good , we have one world with one sky and the same air, and the border are not important for a clean world.

i like the US people(have a good friend,a girl, in minnesota, she was 6 months on my brother´s farm, like a sister from me.)

sorry , this have not to do with the story about a warmovie.

right , jerry, sometimes i´m a sour grape.

For your information Blasius, the Kyoto agreement was rejected by the US Senate 95 to 0, while Clinton was still in office. Both parties agreed unanimously that Clinton should not have agreed to it. So don't go Bush-bashing until you know what you are talking about.

In America we still have a system where the President does not have absolute power to commit the country to harmful economic restrictions while most of the world has no restrictions. Maybe that's a new concept to you in Germany and the rest of Europe, but that's the way it works here.

Regarding the "Band of Brothers" I find it ironic; here we all are, involved in a flight sim which recreates a significant part of WWII, and you profess to be bored with the idea of another WWII movie coming along. Is it just a coincidence that the WWII movies all show the Germans losing and that you, a German, don't want to hear about another one? I don't think so. That's the definition of sour grapes.

I don't blame you for feeling that way, I'd feel the same way about a bunch of movies about Vietnam. Just don't deny it.

Remember back in the 70s and 80s when all those movies came out about US vs USSR in some odd way? I was sooo sick of those... Seems like every other damed movie had something to do with US vs USSR..

Oh Yeah! This is looking way-sweet!

The story is based on what the 101st airborne E company went through (from training-on). I read the book a couple of months ago- as soon as I heard about this project. The book is a terrific read and much recommended if you have any interest in the paratrooper's experience in wwii. There's also some good tidbits covering the squad-level tactics they used for those grognards types.
