I'm building an Me-109G and I want it to be a historically accurate as possible. By that I mean I want to know what colour the wheel wells were etc... I also would like to know where you could find decals of Erich Hartmanns Gustav and its colour scheme, thats the way I want to paint it.Thanks Snake IP: Logged |

when your building a model there is only one site you need to go to. www.hyperscale.com there is none higher! ------------------ Tony "Razer" Martin FS Hangar IP: Logged |

whenever I get time! When I had more money and fewer children, it was radio contorolled boats too. I have a 4 foot WW2 PT boat that is the last survivor of the fleet. apart from that, it's plastic kits! Spend more time modelling on the PC now though! IP: Logged |

What models are u talking about? RC or airfix kinda stuff? i make both, i am a very active RC modeler and i like to make plastic model kits when it to wet to fly. ( considering i live in the UK then u can guess how meny plastic kits i have made ) I love RCing And i am saving up for the CARL GOLDBURD Su26 MX modle. It needs a CHAIN SAW engine to power it cos it is so big. Any other people that fly RC modles in the SDOE comunity? also the great thing about RC compared to SDOE is that u can lads float planes on water without blowing up HINT HINT HINT to the SDOE WwW patch group.

My room, my work room, the living room and the basement are all stuffed with plastic models of all sizes. I'm still working on my Hercules in 1/48, as I have been doing for a year now. I'm correcting and superdetailing it, and the fit is so bad that the only way it goes together is by super glue and strength . Next is an 1/48 Lancaster with diorama, Nieuport 17 and an 1/32 F-117.IP: Logged |

Hyperscale seems a really good website but I'd say more than half of the pages don't work for me. Very annyoying. The kit I'm building is Japanese (ARII) so I find it a bit hard to interpret the names of the colours. I just ordered a set of Hartmaans decals from Hannants so its gonna be like the one in SDOE. Does anyone know the colour, in Humbrol-speak, of that colour scheme??? Thanks Snake IP: Logged |

I haven't tried hyperscale yet.... but Siggi (himself an excellent modeler) has given me a site that has loads of great info on modeling and paiting and weathering...it is a site in Stockholm, but it is in English-- http://www.hotel.wineasy.se/ipms/ BTW....heya semmern-- where did you get a 1/48 scale Lanc? I have been looking all over for one! ------------------ Brought to you by the campaign for a better Dauntless! Jeeves =FC= IP: Logged |

Yes Biggles...As far as I know- they are coming out with a whole slew of planes....wonder if it has something to do with the Pearl Harbor movie? A Kate is yet to be released, and they also have a see-through Zero. I haven't started the Val yet, but looking through the sprues, it looks pretty detailed. ------------------ Brought to you by the campaign for a better Dauntless! Jeeves =FC= IP: Logged |

I just tried my first ever wash on one of my models. I used an ancient old Me-109 and piled it on. It looked so good that I started to put it on some more. Its pretty painful to put dirty black wash on your perfectly clean models, isn't it?Whats drybrushing for? Snake IP: Logged |

Hyperscale recently switched to a new server after their original one pulled the plug at short notice (sounds familiar). They are in the process of re-building the site and updating the links so bear with them.Maury: Thanks for the link to the RML colour swatches. I hadn't come across that one before - it seems to be the most accurate one I've seen ------------------ Yardstick painted this IP: Logged |

Hyperscale had a six part series on LF paint schemes that was really good. Like you said though, a lot of the links are broken. Thus, Google to the rescue! All of them are cached.Maury IP: Logged |
