KaZaA Media Desktop

KaZaA Media Desktop is a full featured peer-to-peer file sharing application. You can search, download, organise and play your media files - audio, video, images and documents with it. It has a powerful search engine where you can search on 'meta data' such as categories, artist etc. Search results are grouped together, so the same file will only be displayed once. The application has intelligent download - files will be downloaded from several sources simultaneously thus speeding up the download, and they will be resumed if broken.

KEEP THE NET FREE! (and my files lol)

I got on the old Napster today..typed in some songs, and they were there plain as day...So if this is all they had to do to keep the bloodhounds off...then sweet. I stole about 7 songs today. Of course I bought the cassette ten years ago......but billionaires have to eat too!!

what I heard on the news was that record labels had to give in lists of artists that had to be blocked (sounds wierd huh) so, although Napster was given 72hours last week, it could be 72hours to block the artists songs, I really dunno how it will work out, but it's good to have this backup now, and it does so much more than just MP3 music

Well, don't forget that napster was just providing peer to peer. When you downloaded something, it didn't come from napster.... no more than SDOE gets data from the Activision servers. Same principle. ;}
So all the "Servers" were those of us on the service at the time.

Well Vahnatai thats true, but anyone on a dial up is going to have slow DL's compared to ISDN lines or higher... DSL works good for Imesh, RGR!
