It's pretty much paintball, except you use BBs (plastic) instead of paint. It's VERY cool, WAY better than paintball. The cool part, is that the guns look very good, cause they don't have the hoppers or CO2 tanks stickin out of them. The guns are battery (or gas) powered, and the BBs are held in mags..... Ohh, and you can get tracer BBs =)Anyways, here are some pics of tonights game. the images are a little grainy, cause they were taken from my video camera.

=) yours truely.

Ive played this! Only in a different mannar...See we have about 7 acres of land in East Texas and this is all we do up there! I invite about 10 of my friends to come. (5 on each team) We play in a more commando style way. Each side has a base at oppisite ends of the land. The base is contructed of ply-wood and cement blocks (Two stories high) and each team has a tank (A plywood and cardboard armoured 2 manned 4-wheeler with 2 mounted automatics fired by strings) and a scout (A cardboard armoured go-cart with a top mounted semi automatic fired by a string) One base sits atop a hill with a small creek at the bottom and the other one is in a clearing. (Keep in mind this is all in the woods) We use smoke grenades and paintball grenades aswell. Each team even has a very small gas powered motor boat! (The land is by a lake) for a getaway. There are red and blue teams designated by head bands and arm bands. Im normally the sniper with a semi automatic, scope mounted. (With a jimmy rigged lazer pointer) I also man the go-cart most of the time. We all have cammo gear and head gear. When we play at nite, we each have helmet mounted flashlights aswell as lighting on our vehicles and a hand flashlight. Its all GREAT fun! Yeah, I do consider myself lucky, mainly because I can afford these guns!No paint with these things.... Although you can get Painball BBs. Don't wanna mess up our nice uniforms, now do we? ......Then you go and lean up against a wall, and your whole side is pink from the paint on the wall. LOL. When you get hit. you FEEL it . Then just head back and wait for the next game....In most games. The unlimited lives games are always fun. [This message has been edited by Jaguar (edited 02-28-2001).] IP: Logged |

Very true Jaguar! But I did pick up some good deals. I bought a semi-automatic M-16 that shoots these plastic BBs for only $80.00 U.S. And I paid only $25.00 U.S. for my .45 hand gun. (Its not automatic tho... you have to cock it each time. And its NOT gas or battery powered, just air. But its good to have around as a backup weapon in the heat of battle) I get these babies at the gun show. IP: Logged |

The glow-in-the-dark tracer thingy is pretty cool.Hmm, no paint, that would seem to require a greater degree of honesty when playing the game. Is there a referee involved (as in paintball)? IP: Logged |

It does require honesty Gustang. But we don't play for ranking or anything, it's for fun. I guess for ranking games, you would have a referee. But I don't even know if my club plays that type of a game. The airsoft community is a very good on (much like the SDoE community), very honest, so I have never really had any problem with anyone not calling themself out.IP: Logged |

ArgonV,I'm in College Station. What part of East Texas are you in? This sounds like great fun! We use to do the same thing but in a poor mans way. We would fill socks, Yep socks, with flower and head out against the other team. When you got hit the flower would show up on your dark clothes. I don't think they even had paint balls back then. It would be worth a trip to join in on a game! Gunner IP: Logged |
