There's a review over at CFS2 Online of Abacus's latest offering from their 'premier' collection. A P-51D - available for the rip, rip, rip-off price of $10. Nice virtual cockpit:  Who pays good money for this sort of thing? And if you're out there, can I interest you in London Bridge - on second thoughts that's been tried and worked  ------------------

Abacus add ons for the CFS series are crap. They arent worth a penny. You are much better off with some of the user made FREE add ons. The "In Defense of Austrailia" add on campaign has a nice p40 w/ a nice 3d cockpit. check the Chaps squadron website.The virtual cockpits of the stock CFS 2 planes are top notch. IP: Logged |

On the other hand, there are these examples.  It flies very nice!
And for the PBY team there are always these. 
 Pulling rite up to the dock is very cool! As for the "In defense of Austrailia campiagn" The P40 is sweet.  There is an add-on file that makes very nice gun smoke when they are fired. The pic here does not show it well. It is actually a nice stream of smoke and not puffy like this capture shows. These are user-made addons and well worth the price, hehe. I agree Gunner. There are some great add-ons out there for what is on the whole a pretty decent sim. I tend to use it more as a flight sim than a combat sim, but a lot of that has to do with the rather crap campaign. 'In defence of Aus' was fun and set the standard as far as I am concerned.When working project in SDOE the mantra I have tried to adhere to, is to better the quality of the default products. Only the Chaps offering for CFS2 seems to come close to this, Abacus are still shipping CFS1 products and expecting people to pay for them. ------------------
