thats better.. I had this model when I was really young. It was the first model I had ever built (my dad helped me ofcourse), but then I played with it till I busted every little piece off of it . Now I just have the fuselage sitting around here. I wanted to find it again SSSSSOOOO bad. Then last week, I seen it on eBay in an auction with 2 other Tour of Duty models, but due to a late night of drinking with the guys, I missed out!! (it ended up selling for under $50 US!!!!!!) Unfortunately, this model is out of production, and I can't find the darn thing ANYWHERE! nobody has even heard of it before. I am so mad I missed out on it. It's such a wicked model... 1:24 scale, the thing is BIG!!! I was working on one of these all day yesterday (even put in 2 1/2 hours of overtime on it), so it's been on my mind all day.... Just thought I would share ------------------ Cheers! Lt. Col. Jaguar The FS Hangar [This message has been edited by Jaguar (edited 02-04-2001).] IP: Logged |

Jag,I used to have nice model of one also. I'm not sure what scale it was but the rotor diameter was BIG! My best friend came over and he was sitting there looking at me hold it. I was carefully (really carefully) spinning the main rotor just thinking how cool it was. Then he say's "Pete, can I try that too?" So I said "Only if you are very careful and PLEASE don't break it!" OK he says. He carefully holds the model Huey, pulls his arm and hand WAY back (and I'm thinking Oh NO!) and gives it a very solid WHACK! (directly on the side of the rotor blade). You can imagine what happened next. The not so tough rotor axle snapped abruptly and it when FLYING off the model towards me and slammed on the floor. I thought for sure he just decided to piss me off royally and I then chewed him out as best I could. He thought it was tough and wanted to see it spin fast. What a fool he was to thinking it could take it. It was a delicate plastic model!! If you find one Jag, be gentle IP: Logged |

If yer can't find one anywhere, there's always the next best thing: MRC has got a new 1:35 line of model choppers, like the Huey, Bell 47, Kiowa Warrior and Cobra.IP: Logged |

Jag, you could always go one better and look for the 'Phantom huey'From the same series as the Phantom Mustang (which has just been re-released), though id doesn't look like Revell\Monogram are going to re-release the huey. pity, as the prices they go for are usuall quite high! IP: Logged |

Jag, i don't know if you.ve found you Huey yet, but there is a chap in Spain that is trying to sell one on Hyperscale.comHis E-Mail address is: jfs@interactivity.es it doesn't seem as though it has been sold yet, and i don't know exactly what price it is going for, but if you're still searching, it might be worth a look into.
