I don't have my CD any more, because I lent it to a friend who's not at home, and won't be for a while, and then my baron.exe and baronmp.exe went corrupted because of some pesky addons. I wonder if anyone could send me their .exe's???IP: Logged |

I have the game somewhere on disk, I cant play it though because i dont have glide, I have a TNT2 (maybe you could help me here?) I'm pretty much computer illiterate so if you could talk me through it I could try and search it out for you..(It may be at my parents home so it could take awhile). Great game though, I pray for a new Red Baron...IP: Logged |

Cool! All you have to do is to stuff the CD into the CD drive, explore it, find the files "Baron.exe" and "Baronmp.exe," then mail them to me. OK?? As for the TNT2, I think there was a patch somewhere, to enable RB3d to run in D3D. Try the 1.0.7.8 patch at http://www.gamesdomain.com/patches/r.html It may be that one, but I'm not sure. I have red baron2 on disk and can patch it to 3D. Will this do? Should i just install it and then find the files? (might as well clear this up before i send them)IP: Logged |

If you install RB2, patch it to RB3d using the Super patch (it's 11mb's!!!), then you can send me the exe's.IP: Logged |

S! All Just wanted to clarify what semmern said about the 1078 patch for Red Baron... it has nothing to do with glide or D3D. Its a client side patch to make the servers visible to the end user. A while back (before sierra dropped RB like a bad habit) everyone had problems seeing the servers, so they came out with the 1078 patch to fix it.
Also Burkey... RB can be played on a TNT card, no problem. only bad thing about it is you wont see the game in 3D, just direct draw, which means lower FPS as apposed to GLIDE. There are GLIDE WRAPPERS for the TNT cards, but they arent done very good and looks like crap. Also im sorry my friend, there will NOT be another Red Baron this year, or any other year to come by Sierra/Dynamix anyway. But there are some cool WWI sims in the works as we speak, the one that comes to mind most often is "17 Hours" thats being made/produced by Red Baron players in our community. Check out their web site at http://www.17hours.com

Maybe it's asking a bit much, but you could set up a simple homepage, then upload the files to that, so I can download them.IP: Logged |
