Topic: More CFS2 Help Please!

I have d/l a few new planes and installed them as per the instructions and they don't show up as available. When trying to use them in a mission I get errors.These aircraft are the Pby (Black Cat), B-25 (Ruptured Duck,) Actual B-17, And PBJ(B-25). This is really ticking me off!! Heya Maaco...Do they work in Free Flight for you? I haven't yet tried putting them in a mission- but I know they show up in Free Flight. They aren't, however, available for Quick Combat though-- I have tried to use them...so maybe some of the user mades don't have the necessary files to do it...I will try and see what happens... ------------------

OK...I have three out of the four (where did you get a 17? And more importantly, how does it look?)...Anyways-- the three seem to work fine in missions I have created...so maybe it's in the way you have them in the files? If you'd like, I can send my plane files over...or- I can list what I see in my aircraft folder for each (wow- there's a lot there!)...although I have VB_Catalina, but no Black Cat or PBJ B-25 (?)... Ruptured Duck--
Model Folder (w/ 2 files in it)
Panel Folder (w/ nothing in it)
Sound Folder (33 sounds)
Texture folder (19)
ABD-B25B.air
abd-b25b.CDP
abd-b25b.dp
Aircraft.cfg Do you have all of these in your Ruptured Duck (a k a--Abd-B-25B)folder?

I was able to get the Ruptured Duck loaded and added the Pre-War Devestator.  
I am having trouble as well with the others that you mentioned. They show up in the aircraft folder but are not available to fly in any section of the game. Hmmm? I got most of them from this site. http://www.flightsim.com/cgi/kds?$=main/forum.htm It's a pretty cool site with lots of planes.

Sorry Maaco...I haven't had time to go and look for those other planes. I think your best bet for help would be the CFS 2 message board at Simhq...or www.cfs2.dogfighter.com ...there are a lot of mission makers in those forums and I just don't have enough experience with it to know how to help-- I am spending too much time making campaigns and new training missions for this 2 year old game  ------------------
