Anyone in here watch this show? Personally I love it, and they have just about the best writers in the sci-fi business. I was wondering, are they still making episodes? I live in the US and only comes on at Midnight on Saturday on PBS. And just for fun, whats your favorite episode? Me, I have several, but I really love the plot behind the one where the simulant lives through the end of time, figures out theres no god and goes back in time to replace those who led pointless lives with those sperm and eggs that never had the chance. I cant remember the name, but it was a good one, can you help me with the name?IP: Logged |

Love it! Watch it every chance I get. One I found funny, I think they all are, is the one where Rimmer is "Ace" I should say Ace is what Rimmer was in a parallel dimension. ------------------ silas Demon's Runway Fortes fortuna adiuvat

A classic show. The plots were always excellent with some very funny twists. The early series were the best IMO where Grant Naylor; Doug Grant and Josh Naylor, wrote them together. Some of the later ones lost a little with only Doug Grant writing and/or Robert Llewelyn.A program guaranteed to always leave you with a huge grin "It's dark outside..." ------------------ IP: Logged |

Watched it from episode 1!The final series wasn't a patch on the earlier ones though. It was shot on 'film' rather than VT so they could export it easier. I think the comedy was dumbed down a little. Also, the comedy writers had split by this point. Spot the name missing from the credits..... Favourite episode?......the Despair Squid Close second....Wax World. The concept of Winnie the Pooh in front of a firing squad....'Now that is something no-body should ever have to see' And the final frontal assault by the Pope and Ghandi... Classic! I can watch this stuff again and again and it's still funny!

I started to rave about Red Dwarf at work a few years ago, most people had never heard of it, anyway they watched it and said ' What the hell was that about'. I tried to explain but I got nowhere, it helps if you are into serious Si-Fi so you know all the in jokes I suppose, or am I just weird like most people at work think ? (Don't answer that one LOL)IP: Logged |

I have the books, I got them off eBay from somebody in the UK.They are: Red Dwarf : Infinity Welcomes Careful Drivers Red Dwarf : Better Than Life I never really got a chance to watch the TV show, I've seen one or two episodes and it so happens that when I got the opportunity to watch another one, it was one I had already seen (still worth watching again!) ------------------ -=TheReaper=- IP: Logged |

Big fan. Also read the books, different from the show but very funny. Robert Lewllyn's book the "the man in the rubber mask" was interesting too. TS IP: Logged |

HELL YEAH!!!!Red Dwarf has to be one of the best shows around. Yesterday i spent a few hours watching the first 4 seasons on tape. Totally cool. you can't get any funnier that Cat in those early series'. Also Rimmer's funny comebacks are very useful....!
