Last thing I heard was that release is postponed for an unknown amount of time, and there's a fair chance that it may be cancelled. That's a pity, since it looks very promising.

SSI was gutted when they're parent company folded and the new owning company wants them to concentrate 75% of their efforts on console games. Just saw an article on it a couple of days ago.
