Well, now I've finished upgrading (well, theres 128 M of Ram arrived today, to be fitted when I get home) the setup will be:Duron 700 224 Meg of Ram Hercules 3D Prophet MX II 32M graphics AGP 4x Soundblaster Live Player 5.1 Chaintech 7AJA Mobo ( Via KT133 Chipset) 15Gig of Harddrive and a big hole where I would like the CD RW to be! Mobo and CPU where Christmas, as was the soundcard. 128M of Ram for my Birthday last week, and Graphics card ... coz it wouldn't work without... This has improved FR's over my old 333 celeron / V2 setup.....IL2, I'm ready for you now! p.s. Now I've tried it with the extra Ram fitted....bloody hell! What a difference! The Ram really lets the rest operate.

Under sized desk, with an old lazyboy for a chair. win98SE, soon to be running litestep again crappy win interface Yuck. dx8 Oh yeah because of a virus problem and the following need to install the old 3 gig to get back up and running quickly, AND it being a hassle to get the drive in an a free cable to it, Its now sitting on top of the cause with the side off and the power and data cables running up to it.

You fellas make me jealous PII-350 64, soon-to-be 192 megs o' RAM 30 GB HD, stuffed with games Voodoo 3 2000 DX8, which, totally unlike other Microsoft products, actually improves performance a fair bit. Oh, and SDOE clocking in at 750 megs, 300 more than the clean install IP: Logged |
