As you can see, I did manage to get the game working. It seems like it had to "break in" for lack of a better discription. First sim I have ever seen like this, hmmm. I got through the flak in this mission, but not so lucky with the fighters. They took out my two outboard engines and my right waist gunner. Limped home and kissed the ground. The missons are so long and its kinda like they say, (long periods of boredom interupted by moments of shear terror). The game is growing on me but I am still a fighter guy at heart. Heya Gunner...What is your system? What problems were you having? I have the game and still haven't gotten past the ball turret screen.....despite all my best efforts. Gateway sucks!! 1 Gig Athelon G-force 64meg 256 pc133 ram (upgrading to 384 meg this week when it arrives) Soundblaster Live.I was having some Ctd's and lockups but that seems to be gone for now. (Ghost in the machine ) I have plenty of computer to do the job. Still B17II pushes it a little because I have Res. maxed! Know what you mean, Gunner. I am running at 1024x768x32 now, with Balanced Settings, and I get some stutter. The following is my first screen attempt: I wasn't even sure I had it until I opened my graphics prog ( I use IrfranView to convert images ). The flak is intense...I made it through both flak and 3 waves of fighters in this, but we missed the target and the crew was not happy with me.
