Anyone know where I can find frame by frame images of explosions and things like that.

Particularly, I'm looking for frame by frame images of bombs exploding in dirt... like in war movies.

Thanks in advance.

Tailgunner - LOL

JT- If you find any film of n explosion, you should be able to see it frame by frame if you use a good viewer. A screen capture would let you steal the frame for use in rendering.

Beyond that, I think the explosions in the old black and white movies (like Birth of a Nation) run slow and at least look slow motion. But they are very staged explosions in soft dirt. You might try doing a search for demolition and movie, mpg, avi.

I haven't checked but I would that the DVD of 'Saving Private Ryan' would fit the bill.

Hi,

Thanks for the cool references. I'll look into those. Hopefully, any screen-captures I do won't require a lot of clean up.

Are there any commercial packages out there that have the explosions frames against a solid colored background? I need these for some animation.
