anybody bought this yet? Its a 3D uniquely turn based battalion level wargame, getting rave reviews everywhere. Apparently it wipes the floor with Close Combat. I've just bought it but haven't played it yet....

I have it, I don't play it much as I am not in to strategy games right now, but if I was I'd be raving about CM more. I think there is a sequal out now, but I am not sure..

I have it. It's incredible. Though I believe that you first have to appreciate turn-based games. If you liked MS's close combat, you'll love this one.

Regardless, CMBO makes for some incredibly detailed battles (some big ones too), heroic stories, and good ol' ass whoopin'. Combined arms tactics were never more fun to implement.

MP now comes in TCP/IP flavor too! There's a map/mission editor that comes with it and there's already a landslide of great home-brew missions available for DL.

I've just threw myself into some large scale battles,not much strategic thought used Its a real thrill to try and push armour through a heavily defended village. It shows great promise! I can't wait for the day when all this can be combined with flight sims, tank sims, unit control etc.

Let me know if you're ever interested in a MP game some time. I haven't tried playing the game against a human yet, but it sure sounds like fun.

BTW, I don't have _that_ much time into the game, so if you suck at the game too, we'd probably be a good match.
