Where from do I get a desk.cpl file? Whenever I try to access the detailed settings for the G-Force card, I get a message that the file desk.cpl is missing.

Dan,

Well... yes, that's where I'm told the file should be, but it's not there. For whatever reason it's missing. Again... where from can I get the file that's lost from my system?

On a Win98 system:
Go to Start -> Programs -> Accessories -> System Tools and click on System Information. Then up at the top of the window that opens, click on Tools and then System File Checker. Run that and if it ever says it found that cpl file to be missing, click on restore (You need the Win98 disk)

If it never finds it... report back and I'll tell you the hard way what to do...

Uninstall your drivers, then go into safe mode and remove old video drivers, then reinstall.... that will also fix the problem many times....

Argon,

Thanks. Wasn't the right answer, but from there I could find it. Turned out the error was completely different. NVRSSV.DLL. Shouldn't have had that file at all, removing it did the job.

Bjorn I had the same trouble as you.
Looks like when you first install a localized driver for a nvidia card then remove it for the latest drivers (in english)a "local" dll stays in the way.
For you its called nvrssv.dll as you're in Sweden, for me it was nvrsfr.dll as Im in France.
