Jeeves, is it possible to setup a trigger so the carriers turn into the wind when flights return to land?

Heya Tail...

Well-- to be honest, I am not sure. I was playing around with the editor yesterday really for the first time and may soon have a passable mission based on the mission to shoot down Yamamoto...I would say the best person to ask right now would be Warspite at the CFS2 Forum on combatsim...at least until I get the hang of it

The mission editor looks like a good one but I haven't taken the time to make it workable. Is there a tutorial anywhere for this thing? Also can I set up planes to start on a carrier?

Heya Hawk...

The closest thing we have to a tutorial is a guy named Warspite over at the CFS2 board at combatsim. He does have a couple up in regards to warping and creating triggers and events...although I hope someone does eventually go into more detail as it is truly needed. As far as starting on carriers, I believe you have to place the carriers first, then the plane, and on the waypoint 1 settings, you choose take off and it should work...hell-- this is the best editor yet...you can zoom into an airfield and the buildings and objects are visible-- so if I wanted to place a tank next to the crates near a hanger-- I just zoom right in and do it. Truly awesome...

So-- for you and for Tail-- I have my first finished mission-- it is the mission where the P-38's take off from Henderson to intercept Yamamoto in his Betty over the Solomons...and it is a tough one...I have the correct numbers (18 Lightnings against 2 Bettys and 6 Zeros) and those 38's truly have their hands full with those dogfighting Bettys. I am e-mailing them to you now.

There is no wind in missions. The mission builder doesn't support it. You can only have wind in free flight where it's of no use really. Maybe you can add it using a text editor...

Not true Michael,

I have flown on-line missions with excessive wind... it is called "blown away" and there is so much wind that you can not keep airborn. We all thought our SDOE install went bad, but it was just wind in the mission
