Bought Thrustmaster Elite Rudder Pedals. Trying to get them to work with MS Precison Pro joystick, but can't get them to work.Let me guess... MS joysticks won't support rudder pedals? IP: Logged |

My guess is that since the stick has the twist rudder that it overrides or interfers with the foot rudders. Don't know if the two can be made compatible. The Thrustmaster people would know.IP: Logged |

JT, Those are great pedals, I use them with a Logitech Wingman Force, but I don't think that the Percision Pro will allow them. I suggest changing joysticks, just to use these pedals. The Logitech Wingman Force is the only Force feedback stick that I know of that lets you use rudder pedals, setup is easy, you calibrate the pedals in the wingman setup. IP: Logged |

Thanks, guys... did some reading on some other forums. Apparently, the MS Precision Pro won't allow the pedals. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR! When dealing with Microsoft stuff, why must I always receive the... IP: Logged |

JT, Are those pedals USB? I have CH pedals that are analog (standard gameport) and they will not work with my SWPP stick either. Good ole' MS. -=BAB=- Gunner IP: Logged |

You guys kill me. You expect every MS software application ever written to be compatible with every piece of non-MS computer hardware ever made and every non-MS software application ever written. And you expect every piece of MS hardware to be compatible with every piece of non-MS hardware and software ever made. In this case you expect a joy stick with built in rudder controls to be compatible with non-MS rudder pedals...and you blame it on MS. Why don't you blame it on Thrustmaster for not making a product compatible with one of the most widely owned joysticks? There are a lot more Sidewinders out there than Thrustmaster rudder pedals - so who should conform to whom? Geesh!!! If you want 100% compatibility switch to Apple! Personally, I would rather have 95%-99% compatibility with everything in the market place than 100% compatibiltiy of almost nothing. Whew!! God that felt good! Asbestos lined Fruit o'the Looms ready. Actually, the Precision Pro stick drivers actually prohibit the pedals from working and you can't assign a generic stick driver to the the Precision Pro. There's no call for that.IP: Logged |

Actually, JerryI think Thrustmaster Elite pedals came out waaaay before the MS Sticks did. I don't think they are still in production anymore. The books that come with them (TQS and FLCS) are still written to program in DOS. So it's not really anyone's fault...just one piece of hardware is a lot older than the other. I would just bite the bullet and get a TQS and F22/FLCS if you can find them and have the 200+ bucks. They are very solid and will last forever. IP: Logged |

In order to get my Precision Pro to work in CFS2, I had to remove all Sidewinder software and just use MSconfig to set it up.So I am using generic drivers for my stick and it works fine. Try it and see. If there is one thing I know now, it's that I never know any more And Jerry, no prob, get back into boxers and feel good all under. ------------------ =Campaign For A Mitchell= -=BAB=-Gunner IP: Logged |

>In order to get my Precision Pro to work in CFS2, I had to remove all Sidewinder software and just use MSconfig to set it up.I tried that. Everytime I try to use anything but the Precision Pro software, it say "not connected". Is there are trick to doing this? Should I uninstall the 3.02 Software and then try to force it to use a 2 axis, 4 button stick w/throttle? IP: Logged |

I uninstalled the software disconnected the stick and rebooted. Yes, yes, I know its USB. Then reconnect the stick. It Recognized it and then built a database for it. Then I went to Win/cabs for a driver. Bing! didn't even need to calabrate it. It appeared in "game controllers" as OK. And up I went. Hope that helps. -=BAB=- Gunner IP: Logged |

Heck, your compatibility problems don't suprise me. I could sit here for an hour and type all of the problems MS hardware and software have with other MS hardware and software. I wouldn't need to even worry about trying to find 3rd party compatibility problems. After all MS writes the std and once everyone starts to comply, they write their new code to a different std and blame the problems on everyone else.
