OK, I'll admit it... I've been flying CFS2 almost exclusively. Having said that, I just want to take this opportunity to say I wish CFS2 had the same padlocking system as SDOE. The auto-zoom feature of the SDOE padlock is a great solution to the problem of having a limited field of view. In CFS2, I find myself getting very confused as to which way my "head" is turned when using the padlock... so much so that I've just about stopped using it in that sim.

You could always do what they did with the mossie pilot - add a piviting head with limited DOF (like a turret). Assign the head directional view to a quick view, so you can get an idea where the enemy pilot is. Then just fly with the padlock off and use the quick view.

JT try going into your controller setup and change the hat from pan to snap mode. CFS2 does some really funny things if you pan with the hat in padlock.. IE it offsets your padlock view by however much you pan with the hat.

How do you padlock nearest bandit in cfs2? It says to use the "~" key, but for me, it selects the closest one to my gunsight even if he's 4000ft from me.
