I've read somewhere that the present BoB demo is a pre-pre-pre-pre-pre-Alpha or something. Can't help you, since I haven't got it myself, tho.IP: Logged |

Spanky here... I can't see why they would send the alpha to a magazine. Its probly a real demo, but still isn't solid enough to even start on some computers. IP: Logged |

It is indeed the alpha demo, snatched up as it was being withdrawn off the net.
Seems to work ok for geforce cards rather than voodoos though and the 1024 desktop screen is correct.
For an incomplete/buggy demo I was impressed.

I tried the 1024 res but still cannot get this thing to load. Says wrong format?------------------

No Spanks, I downloaded mine before it was taken offline but a buddy in the UK got his off the magazine, same version.

Same problem reported with voodoo owners, not sure about which cards though.------------------

I think it went to press before it could be withdrawn, ahh who cares. I hope there will be an official demo out soon, they said it will have multiplayer enabled in the next one.

I don't know what you guys think of this magazine but, I emailed them about my problem and they said might not work with windows me! Ok they put out a demo they know won't work with the newest operating system. I will invite them to the bar where I have a special bottle of B-17II multiplayer for 'em. ------------------

FYI this is the response I got from Empire. Hold on a little bit longer we should have the "real goods".Good Morning Greg, You're right, the PC pilot demo is the old one.
This is something that my UK counterparts have done.
Sure doesn't help things, now does it.
I should have word on the official demo by mid week.
It was originally slated for this week, but I've not heard much on it for a
week or so.
I'll bring you up to speed the soon as I know. Thanks for everything Greg
