Heya I just purchased this game,its getting great reviews and beautiful graphics.I love it .If anyone else gets it let me know you need to race ip for now but i found a lil program on one of the racing sim sites sorta works like game spy.

btw superbike 2001 is also a real kewl game and both these games have demos to try)thats why i bought em )

Hey guys I just picked up my new pc and a copy of Nascar Heat. Wow! This is real as it gets. Daytona at night is increadible when your in the middel of 40 other cars.

Cool i got the 512 carset its nice,nice to see miller lite insead of Rusty on the hood.
also there is an ip matching thing called irf 2.1 for finding other guyz online(basic version kinda like gamespy) it works tho and is a must if ur gonna race online,some 1 should make a progie like that for super bike 2001 too.

What the heck is the matter with this game! It runs great, looks great, is great! No bugs! Something is very wrong here.

I am getting around 25 with everything on and at 1024 res using the benchmark in the options panel. What are you guys getting?

What is the 512 car set? Is that higher res than stock game cars?

yes they have the 512 set not recommended for voodoo 3 cards. I have voodoo 4500 tho
If you download the 512 set and play game colors are messed try the lower res set. I dunno my framerates ? how ya check? But the game runs smooth everything maxed with 22 cars on the field,I havent tried 43 cars on the field its hard enough to get to the front with 22.Pet have you gone into the cfg files yet? I bought this game on Saturday and have been loving every minute of it!Runs great with my new geforce II MX,the replay's pretty fun too.Haven't won a race yet but the "Beat the pro" section is giving me some good tips.Hope to try this online soon!

aha I found the fps thing u were talking about lol.For offline I use all graphics maxed,play at 1024x768 and i get 40 fps if I turn high detail cars on also i lose a couple and dont really notice the difference as I am using the 512 carset with my voodoo 4500 agp

well i have painted 3 cars for this game(from the 98 season)Joe Camel 23 (purple and yellow)Skoal Bandit 33 and the 41 kodiac (white) Now i need to figure out the restools thing so I can give them chev and ford bodies intead of the default pontiac bodies.

(yep... that Kevin Combs they mention was once Dole around the Fighter Squadron realm... And the guy who put out restools!)

Hawker - to give them the bodyshape you need to edit drivers.txt change bodystyle to ccar for chevy, fcar for ford, pcar for pontiac. But all this will change is the rear spoiler. To get accurate lights/grille, just paint them on in photoshop or paintshoppro (not the ingame paintkit) and use mktex. I think i wrote a tutorial over @ http://www.high-compression.com
