Whirlwind Pilot	posted 10-02- 07:33 PM A fat red stripe, simular to the Eastern front craft, although it wasn't always used. The planes also only carried a plane number on the tail like '3' or '8' and no other unit designation. They did have this circular cartoon thing on the nose above the center of the prop and back 6" from the rear lip of the spinner. I can't make it out, and my network card is in a box until my new vid card comes in (long story). IP: Logged
Flash Gordon Pilot	posted 10-03- 06:08 AM Hmmm... ...thanks for the info...but... ...by insignia, I meant something more like a patch like the 8th or 12th USAAF's patches (circle or upside down triangle with wings). I don't imagine that the RAF had a separate patch for the DAF? They were pretty sparing in that regard... Thanks again, Flash IP: Logged
