Go to http://www.movieflix.com and after you sign up (it's worth the trouble) go to the documentary section and click on this movie (two streams - low or high bandwidth). It was VERY good and it actually shows lots of WWII footage that I personally had never seen before. Awesome flying and lots of dogfighting / bombing / strafing in it. I may even watch it again tonight it was so good.

"Smashing of the reich" is really an interesting documentary. I enjoyed it a lot, but (as the official whiner on this board) I have to mention there is a little error here.
At a moment the speaker mentions that French squadrons were to provide cover for the spring 1944 raids, while there is footage of French airmen and P-47Ds with "3U" markings. Well, they certainly didn't provide cover as these planes were delivered to the GC I/4 in late july 1944 and were operating from southern Europe (Corsica?). I think the French units that provided such cover were flying Spitfires, but hey it's an american movie isn't it?
