Get 'em at http://eaw.thrustmaster.com/ On that site, you can get most of the stuff made for EAW. I just got the game, and me thinks it's real cool. Spins are a bit overdone, though. But how do I get it to 800x600?IP: Logged |

Semmern, I made a util for Eaw called Eaw control 2000. It allows you to change resolutions and other things in the ini file. Otherwise just change the ini file screen res setting to 800 x 600 or higher. You will lose the loading meter when you change higher than 640 but that's not a big deal. Alos you should be using the 1.2 patch from Microprose for higher res and fixes. The control is at combat sim, dogfighter,3dgw and other good retail outlets!

Thanks Semmern,Got everything I need. Now two more questions. 1. How do you take screen shots in this game? 2. Can you zoom in on your plane from the external view? I would like to zoom in to where I can at least fill the screen wing tip to wing tip. I tried using the mouse but it doesn't work. Thanks again ------------------ =Campaign For A Mitchell= -=BAB=-Gunner IP: Logged |

If you don't have this line: ScreenCapture=RMENU in your Eaw.ini file then add that or add a key command to the end of it. I think it's the Printscreen button by default for screen captures in eaw. You can zoom in but I haven't fired up eaw in a while so I can't remember what it is, have you tried the right mouse button?------------------ IP: Logged |

Hey thanks Spyder, I havn't tried that terrain yet. I have Rabaul, winter, and spring. They all look great! Yes, I have tried the mouse buttons but, no luck as of yet. If you find something out about it please let me know. Thanks, -=BAB=- Gunner IP: Logged |

Ok open your Eaw ini file and look for these lines: ZOOM BUTTON=Mouse_Btn_1 ZOOM IN=ADD ZOOM OUT=SUBTRACT Change the Mouse button to suit. Make sure you are going through all the options in the game setup screen, there are quite a few lurking in the Advanced part.

For me the biggest turn off about EAW was that the cockpit view is so IN YOUR FACE. I'd like to be able to back the zoom out. Spyder, does that zoom thing you posted work in the cockpit too? If it does I'll have to reload it up and try it.Thanks (btw you did a lot of great work for addons with that game, nice job) IP: Logged |

You can zoom in closer again to the gunsight but I don't think there's a way to back off. I'm used to looking close to the sight, it suits me fine but it would be nice to see more of the gauges. Press numpad 0 to quicklly look down I think.I can't remember now how much of the view you see in the non 3d cockpit, with the patch and higher than 640 you only get the 3d one everytime. I preferred the static one for clarity but hires wins out. Thanks for liking Eaw Control! I was particularly pleased with the Rgb colour id's option and how it turned out.
