Fighter Combat: Thunder Over Europe, it would've been a great game, flyable Heinkel 111's, Me163, Me110, B24, B17.

Developer I believe was Looking Glass; EA/Janes was the last Publisher, and made the decision not to finish it, despite it being reported near completion. It appeared to have been another worth waiting for WWII sim, but never getting the opportunity to find out is truly very sad.

I have come across some boards claiming rumors that it still may see the light of day, but I won't hold my breath. Check Tailslide's site for some 'memorial' pics.
When cancelled, it was to be known as Jane's Attack Squadron. www.cdmag.com has a nice little article on it also.

Oh yeah - I think I saw a screenshot of it with the IL-2...the model wasn't as nice looking as the one in IL-2 Sturmovik but it still looked nice in an angular sort of way.

Actually, I heard rumours that it was going to be finished as well because of the way the project was originally financed.
