I've already dropped all intentions to buy it. What are they going to replace the 163 with? A 110? IP: Logged |

Spanky here... Naw, they probly won't replace it with anything. Just cut it out altogether and hope everyone likes flying B17s I'm a fan of the b17 but there is other bombers people might want to fly, Seems like a small target market to shoot for. People that want to fly a b17 or shoot a b17 down, or protect a b17. sounds boring after the first week.

Actually, I did a almost whole campaign in SWOTL just flying a B-17. It was fun as hell!!!!!!!! So am soooo lookin foward to trying out B-17 II. I never tried the origonal B-17 but I heard its very emmense. Things like crews using and giving first aid and using fire extinguishers. All sorts of stuff like that.IP: Logged |

The original B-17 is available for download at www.bombs-away.net plus the manual and some other stuff. It's a pretty interesting exercise in crew management. You have to start shuffling people around when they start getting wounded. I didn't know what I was doing originally so at one point, I ended up with both the pilot and co-pilot leaving the cockpit to go man the waist guns after randomly pressing buttons for a while. Sort of takes a while to get the hang of things but once you do, it's sort of interesting. Oh yeah - the original had the 109, the 190 and the 110 - never lived long enough to see if the 262 entered the picture. IP: Logged |
