my family and i went on a cruise and one of the excursions was at the cayman islands. there a bunch of people hopped on a boat and went out to a sand bar where hundreds of friendly sting rays would swim around you. But only if you had some squid in your hand would they swim up to you and suck it up like a vacum. The stingrays themeselves were silky to the touch. i've got a photo of us if you want to see.

Quite an experience eh Zool? If you liked that I strongly suggest you look into scuba diving - I've swum with dolphins, manta rays, bat rays, in a swarm of jellyfish, through kelp forests, with giant sea turtles, nurse sharks, a friendly leopard shark (that one was odd - sharks are generally quite wary of people) and even within 20 feet of a 9' great white (scared the hell out of me till I realized it was ignoring me). There are no end of amazing creatures to swim with in the ocean.
