I got a copy of this game...however, I don't have the docs. How do you move that mouse cursor like thing to select what you want to choose? I can't seem to move the arrow using the mouse. Also, does the game support a joystick? I could only seem to get keyboard control to work. Anyway, I didn't live too long.Anyway, it looks interesting - lots of WWII scenarios - haven't checked out the Korean War or Vietnam scenarios yet. Flash IP: Logged |

Heres what I do. I start it up in a MSDOS prompt (NOT true DOS) and when the game starts and Im at the main screen I hit enter to get control of the mouse. For the joystick setting just hit escape while in flight and it should be under the menu system.IP: Logged |

You know this old game is actually! I like it as much a Secret Weapons of the Luftwaffe. Are there any hacks that can make the other planes flyable?IP: Logged |

Thanks for the help, Argon.I'll try what you suggested. Hopefully, I won't get killed so easily the next time around... Oh, yeah - if you like SWOTL, there's a webpage dedicated to it - you can find the link to it at the Stormbirds site. They have a bunch of stuff you can download for that old game, planes (there's even an A-10 Warthog), campaigns (Russian Front, North Africa and an unfinished Pacific Theater), etc. They even have stuff that allows the game to be run on today's faster computers. Sort of makes me want to get a copy of that old game myself... Flash IP: Logged |

I just tried what you suggested and it works!I had a blast getting creamed by the Abbeville Boys and then shot up a flight of Bf 110s for kicks (although their tail gunners shot up my 'Stang). You're right, this old sim' is pretty good. I tried out the Korean War mission and they actually gave you a wing man! Don't know about any hacks to fly the other planes...it's a shame that you can only fly the P-51 and the 190 in the WWII missions. Flash IP: Logged |

That happens to me as well - except it doesn't really 'crash' in my case. It just suggests that I should run the program from true DOS. However, if I look carefully, the icon for MS-DOS: Chuck Yeager, etc. is right there at the bottom of my screen in Win98. Just click on that and you should be back in the main menu. This is assuming, of course, that this 'crash' is the same as mine. Hope this helps. Flash IP: Logged |

Actually, the AI in CYAC is excellent for such an old game. I played it yesterday, got it from a friend, but the docs were missing. I got a question about how high the Me.163 was, answered nine feet, and in I went!IP: Logged |
