When I get around to it I plan to put shag carpet and funky lights (including a strobe) in it, and a big ass flower of the side ROTFLOL.

Well it isn't sporty-- but it sure does help haul hay bales and the assorted tree trunk or package of shingles when you are renovating a house--

1982 volvo station wagon....it unfortunatly will NOT DIE! I remember when my sister was first got her license, that in no way would it survive for me to drive (shes 21 now, Im 17) not only that but my brother drove it too, he even purposely tried to kill by driving it over snow drifts and such....keeps going. SO now here I'm with a pos car. I saving toward a 2000 eclipse GT now, most likly a used one.

Well right now Me and Mad Dog share a 1994 KHS Alite 1000, Mountain bike for those not in the know, And yes year does make a difference in bikes too. I just snapped the rear shifter with my knee today, cheap ass grip shift.

I'm hoping to get some sort of jeep or other 4x4 going next summer, which would be my first car/truck.

Gosh!
What a list, most of the items I've never heard about, not to mention seeing or driving them!

Can't you other-side-of-the-pond guys drive something normal like, say a Peugeot 206 (that's a cart I happened to take control off on a regular basis) ?

Spanky,

By all means get yourself and MadDog 4x4. It's much more difficult to topple over when driving it and looking at the low flying plane overhead.
I should know something about it...
While straddling my old, trusty '88 or '89 red Saracen Trekker (Shimano XT brakes are the "topmost" bits on it) and having absorbed a beer or two and putting the gloves on I looked up on a lovely low flying aircraft. God, did I have a part of my body that wasn't bruised or scratched...

I have a 66 427SC Shelby Cobra Replica that I am rather fond of and a 77 MGB that I have just finished rebuilding. The MG has been with me for just over 20 years and it is a sweet ride now that I have gone through it. I have had the Cobra on the road now for just about two years. This car gets a lot of respect.

Spanky here...

Yeah KHS is stx-lx, with no shocks but I never really cared much for them cause of the added wieght they throw on your front end.

About the kit cars. Yeah I wanted a cobra for a long time but now i'm leaning more towards a Ford GT40 kit, Now thats a freaking awsome looking car. too bad when all is said and done it would be some where in the $100,000 range which is the price of a half decent house just a couple minutes out of town here, or a fixer upper in town.

Thats still a sweet deal compared to the real deal though, which is around a mil.

Specialy since the good kits are as good as and somtimes better the the real car depending on how you build it up.

i consider myself a true motor head because i have more cars lying around that dont run than i have that do. Lets see here... i am currently restoring a '85 shelby charger, and my '70 challenger AT THE SAME TIME-whew what stress. Me and my fathers cars combined are a '68 barracuda, a '37 plymouth, a '73 sattelite, a '80 aspen RT, all of which DO NOT run.MY mother has a mint conditioned '79 chrysler 300 with 17,346 origional miles on it-origional right down to the origional tires it rolled off the assembly line with, it currently resides in the garage, since the past 21 years. OH, one more thing, i also own a motorless '68 charger- hey Jerry wanna buy?
This is getting interesting, keep em comin.

Yes, the GT 40 is a fine car. So many nice cars, so many flight sims and so little time. There are just not enough hours in the day for me.

I only took my car driving cos I got a job with a car at 25. Before that I only rode motorcycles, 69 BSA B44 Shooting Star ,69 Triumph 650 Trophy (Single Carb Bonneville) and 74 Norton Commando Interstate. Current boring car is 89 Audi 100 Avant (estate/station wagon) but still have 69 Shooting Star and now a Victor special (offroad version of Shooting Star) plus a pair 750 and 850 Norton Commando. Trouble is how do I keep them on road and keep a flight sim happy at same time (you dont lol)

I guess it can't go smaller... A yellow Renault Twingo.
It looks cool though, we just had the bumpers painted yellow and a rear spoiler was added. But some jurk though it would be cool to scrape his key on the right-door yesterday.

Now Hippie, a '73 XB Hardtop.... that is class

Currently I have a '90 EA II Falcon S (4.1 ltr 6 cyl )

In the days before kids I had an
'82 XD 351 Falcon (Police Pursuit), the cops really knew how to trick these motors too. It was basically built to Phase III GTHO standards with 4 bolt mains, 4v heads and all that neet stuff. It had a FMX auto bolted to it too....very tuff box that one.

Top speed (with the help of a 2.72 diff) was 240 kmh ...thats about ... 144 mph (I think).
(radar verified vicinity Griffith, NSW in the mid '80s.....with the help of a copper mate )

Cheers,

AGAS 5

My dreamcar at the moments is an Audi RS4...

A 2.7-liter V6 bi-turbo giving 380 hp
0-100 km/h in 4,9 seconds (0-60 mph)
0-200 km/h in 17,7 seconds (0-120 mph)
Topspeed electorically maximised at 250 km/h (150 mph). I bet with some chip it would reach 300 km/h (200 mph).

Could anyone want more???
A lower price maybe, which is now at 208,000 guilders, which is around $100,000 (actually less but you guys need to pay import costs etc.)

I used to own a '73 Cuda, loved that car. I also had a '66 GTO, that car could get all 4 gears with no prob. I'm more of a motorcycle person, I own a '78 and a '79 Yamaha SR-500 when I ride in the streets. On the dirt I've got a KX-500 to race, on the trails I've got a '86 IT-200 (I know its old, but it still kicks butt on all those guys riding new MX bikes who can not ride) and I also have a '76 Husky 360 in mint condition. Car did you say, I've got a '89 Pathfinder. Spanky I've got a '86 Raleigh Chill, yea I'm going to get a new one soon.
