we after the %$@&%@#*%@#*(&#^*s at Westjet didn't take me on, the good people at Alpine Helicotpers gave me a job ....... Now, if there's one thing I have learned from all this, it's to BE PERSISTANT!! I phoned this guy tonnes of times and visited in person quite often. So today I got a call from him, and he gave me a job on the spot! I DIDN'T EVEN HAVE AN INTERVIEW!! hehehehehehehe

I'm so excited about this job.... Rumor has it, that they operate Bell 212s........... Direct decendants of the "Huey" I made for FS.

I have recieved quite a bit of support from the people on this board, so thanks to them!

Hey, that's great!

Now you can start earning real money so you can give it to the Canadian government to pay for your "free" health care. (Sorry Jag, couldn't resist).

Seriously, it's an exciting time of life. Enjoy it and dream about the future.

I get to travel with this job too! Northern BC and Alberta I can't wait........ Well I could for northern alberta LOL You know whats really cool? They bought me 2 pairs of coveralls!

Unfortunately it's only till October, but I have a chance to get on full time.

Ohh, and they DO operate 212s, and I WILL be working on it. I actually helped my friend with some little chores on it while I visited today.
It looked pretty much exactly like this one, except there were spraying booms hanging off each side. The paint job is almost dead on

DROOL :P hehehe

Is it that job by my house Tail?

The Huey is on the back burner right now..... I haveto finish the dauntless before Jeeves flys up here and beats me with it.... then It's back to the Huey.

hehehe nope Thanks anyways though!!!!

Good for you Goth! where are you applying to? First off I handed in a resume and talked to the guy incharge. I made sure to get a buisness card. I then waited about a week, poped my head back in to say hello. Then called a few times. At that point he said he would be hiring soon, but didn't have a date, thats why I kept going back. I'm surprised actually that I did get the job. Last week I didn't think I had a chance in hell of getting it.

Was it in Canmore? Cause Alpine helicopters has a base there too. Except they pay 5 bucks less there than they do here for the SAME position

Anybody know where I can learn to drive a 5 tonne standard truck in 10 days? I have never touched a standard in my life and all the driving schools are booked!

Find yourself an old farm truck and a big field...and go to it!!! That's how I learned...nothing like the smell of burnt clutch to make your day !!!
