Hi.

Are belly landings in a body of water possible in CFS as it is out of the box? Just for kicks, I tried ditching my Bf109G in a lake. Gear up, flaps all the way down, bled speed and carefully tried to put her down. End result - she blew up real good. I noticed that failed landings tend to be catastrophic in CFS. Are belly landings, etc. even possible in the game as it is?

Just curious.

Can't ditch unless you d/l a patch from www.simviation.com or some other FS/CFS site. Go to theCFS section at Simviation. It's there somewhere.

You need the setclass utility. It is available from the above link.

Thanks all!

This means I can practice ditching my Bf 109E in the channel. I assume this will also allow me to belly land in some field as well?

I'm almost afraid to ask but is there a patch for the @#$% AI in CFS? I think my grandmother flies better than those guys.
