Man that is one tall order! The editor is inf*****gcredible!I'm not sure I can adequetly describe the scope of it here. You can create either a battle or an operation(series of connected battles).Let's start with the map:any size you want up to 4000m x 1600m.Any and every terrain feature you can think of is at you disposal, roads both paved and dirt, trees of varying type and size,hills-you decide exactly how high you want the hills to be,buildings-houses,town buildings, barns, farm houses all in lots of sizes and even burning if you wish!Bridges(several)water, fords, fences(stone, wooden)that's just a few of the terrain editor features! Units:I'm no expert on what units fought between June 1944 and May 1945 but it seems like most of them are available to you for both sides. There are hundreds to choose from, every allied nation is represented as is waffen SS,wermacht and several others I can't remember how to spell!Every single unit is editable, you can change the size, ammunition carried or used(arty and tanks have lots of choices)what type of mines your engineers carry, how they react in situations,it goes on and on!! There's alot more to it than just these things but that should give you an idea of it's scope, pretty everything in the mission you can edit! I hope you can find your way to get it soon because the demo is child's play compared to the full game!! mud

I played my first battle today and lost BADLY against the computer. I think I may have to read up on my tactics.. Any tips for the first mission in the demo where you play the axis side setting up ambushes for the advancing allies? TS IP: Logged |

Well that was an answer and a half, Thanks!..... You got my mouth watering now TS- I found this to work well..... set the Axis advantage to 150%, and let her rip! LOL! How long did it take to ship? One thing that bugs me is that there are no concussions (SP?) modeled in the demo. Many times my shermans would be fireing at a enemy soldier, hit right beside him (3 times one time!!) and the guy still lives! I hope this is fixed in the game. I think, maybe, the problem is that the soldiers in general are too hard to kill. I rember another time, I had a man running away from 8-10 german sildiers, shooting him the whole way, and my guy made it to the house....... realistically, he should have been swiss cheese. Just little gripes.... This is a great game though, I love it! [This message has been edited by Jaguar (edited 06-21-2000).] IP: Logged | |
