I thought I would put a picture up of new baby.

Shes a Yamaha Vstar 1100cc. I have taken some pictures myself of it but they are not as good as this one.
Mine is exactly the same, except that mine has soft leather saddle bags.
Its my first bike and I may have bitten off more than I can chew, hehe.
This weekend will be interesting for sure.

I'm gonna take her out on the highway for a little road trip.

Wish me luck!

Good thing you started out small, hehe. Very nice Bike.

One thing you will notice very quickly is that time does not exist when you are on a Motorcycle. Be sure you have a clock or watch or you will just keep riding and riding.

Beautiful bike, Gunner!! Congrats on the acquisition.

I am not a motorcycle person, though, so a question if I may? Where do you put the sound card?

I think it goes under one of those chrome thingies.
He,he, what do I know? like I said, its my first bike.

The fun thing is when I pass someone in thier car, the looks I get. Like damn, I wish I were doing that.
My buddy has a Harley Softail Classic but I just couldn't afford one.

But she is sweet!

Almost as sweet as my wife for not giving me any hassel about it.

You know, someimes life is great!

Beautiful ! We have the same taste in bikes. Yours puts mine to shame though. I'd get one just like it if we had more than 4 good months of riding a year up here. Love the chrome.

Good luck with your new bike, thats a pretty heavy beast for your first

Mines like this one.. the windscreen addons are handy so you don't have to squeegee bug juice off your leathers every fillup.

I knew a guy with two harleys one for the city and a big one for the highway.. he had a wife and kid but his wallet was full of pictures of his bike !

I took her out for a short spin Sunday.
It's been raining allot here in central Texas and Sunday was no different.
All I can say is wow! Only got about 20 miles in but it was great. Then the rains came and I am not a good enough rider to go it in the rain yet.

It was a great way to start off my first Fathers Day!

Dirt bikes are fun but "road rash" is the true measure of a man.
I think I will take style over air gterl

At 37, Im too old to go flying across the dunes and creeks.

The last dirt bike I had got out from under me so fast you would have thought it was my wife, hehe.

Nice site btw Tail. Have decided on a new bike yet?

Well.. the 2000 Magnas are BADASS. 750 cc 4 Cylinder, light and fast fast fast. But I like the sound of the big two cylinders. The Kawasaki Vulcan 800's have less power but they look and sound nicer. They're almost harley clones which is a little weird though:

Nice bike still ! And more power than the yamaha v-star light cruiser.

My other choice would be this.. its only a 750 2 cyl but definitely has a distinctive look:

Yea Tail,
They are both nice. The thing is that a Kawasaki is a chain drive. The Honda has the speedometer on the handle bars instead of the tank, which males it a little more difficult to read. And they are both water cooled. I prefer air-cooled. Just less hassel.

The Vstar, IMHO, has the best of all worlds. Shaft drive, tank mounted speedometer, and its air cooled, as well as sweet lines.
These are the things that I look for.

All sweet bikes though. Good luck in your shopping!

Problem is, I wear a full face helmet if the weather is bad. Can't see a tank speedometer then..

It is kind of funny having a liquid cooled bike with "fake" engine radiator fins. Although I havent found my current liquid cooled to be any hassle. Its nice for stop-and-go, doesn't overheat.

The light V-Star cruisers are only 650cc twins, which wouldn't be very much power. The heavy cruisers are too big as I use mine for tooling around town a lot and prefer a more manouverable bike, although I'm sure they are fantastic on the highway.

You wear a helmet?
Just kidding, hehe. I do most of the time. I wear a shorty though.
Good points. I know radiators are not a big hassel. I like the cleaner visual of the air cooled as well. Besides, up there you don't have the same kind of heat we have down hear. 98 degrees and 70% humidity for 4-5 months straight.
Damn it Tail, agree with me!!
Don't make me ride up there!

hehe, later

Hehe. Helmets are mandatory here besides being a good idea. I wear a shorty most of the time too but when its raining a shorty and goggles is more of a pain in the butt than a full face with visor.

If I get serious think I'll take the 650 and the 800 out for test rides.
