So far my predictions have been quite succesfull. Group C still is a mystery (though Spain is very likely to go through) and pittyfull enough I think England will go through too.

Never! Never! Yugoslavia shouldn't be allowed on the pitch with their kind of soccer. The game yesterday was nothing short of a scandal. Norway were jypped out of at least two penalty kicks and at least two more slavs should have gotten a red card IMMEDIATELY for filming, downright rotten play and poor sportsmanship. The ref should have been taken out back and shot outright. I can see only one redeeming act in his lack of judgement, that he sent that young starlet off the pitch after a minute of play. Slobo will surely have him shot upon his return to Belgrade. Anyways, Slovenia will be an easier match and Norway and Yugoslavia will advance to the quarters, whereupon Yugoslavia will have their asses kicked to the curb by everyone.

OHH! SUCH JOY! England Vrs Romania surpassed all my expectations! As a N.Irish man who has to suffer jingoistic English media ( as do scots and welsh) this was just too good! ( I'm just listening to a news program about English 'supporters', they are singing, at their dutch hosts 'if it wasn't for the english you'd be krauts'. No wonder the world loves to see them lose.

Anyway, as the real football goes, Portugal and France have really impressed me, playing football like it should be played.Romania where excellent against England. The Germans haven't been this bad in 50+ years. Yugoslavia show no sportmanship, but aren't bad. The netherlands are technically excellent but they don't play as a team. I think their players are too spoilt. They might get better though. Norway? they'd be better off in the NBA.
My prediction goes with France, they are stronger now than in 98........

Hehehe, we just beat the world champions, the first time since 19 years too, that feels good.
I think the French team isn't that unsatisfied with their loss, cause they can stay in Belgium while we can stay in Holland. Every disadvantage has it's advantage (quoting Johan Cruijf ).
Jugoslavia tends to go for a red card every match, and I won't be unhappy if they'll try again in the quarterfinals.
We'll meet France again in the finals I'm sure.

It's a pity UEFA took his 6th goal away (the 3rd goal of our last match was an own goal by that Jugoslav defender) but he's still the Euro2000 topscorer with 5 goals (oh yes, before I forget, together with that Milosovic guy. But who cares about a guy who's team is finished off and who's sought after by Interpol and the FBI ).
Does anyone still doubt that Holland will be the next European champion? With 6-1? Ah, thought you'd agree.

Yeah I hear ya. I really wanted it to be H vs F, they were so close in the world cup.
Damn if they didn't miss so many good ones there, rotten bother.
Well it's France for me as it was in the world cup, I hope they pull this one off too.

Well, although their defensive and destructive kind of play like yesterday totally pisses me off, I'm behind Italy for the finals. I just can't tolerate France being the first country to be World and European Champions at the same time. And at the same time, we can at least say we lost from the Champions.
On the other hand, I prefer France to win, because we won from France, and indirectly we can say we are the real champions. Anyway, I actually don't really care who wins now. As long as it is the best team who wins, and not the luckiest team.

I guess it's just not up to us Dutch to take penalties. In '92, '96, '98 and now also '00 we loose a big tournament on penalties. I hope '02 will be an exception though, just like '88 was.

Well, to all the French, congratulations with your title. You (quite) deserved it. At first I was for Italy, but on the other hand I'm happy that, unlike with Italy-Holland, beautifull football has won this time.
I'm also glad Italy lost because their football shirts must have dropped in price now, and I really like them.

Euro2000 was just our training for 2002, and we just invited some Europeans over for some practice. And in 2002 we'll learn those Japs how to play real football.
