I don't know how many of you know about this channel but I thought I would tell you about it for those that don't. It is called the Discovery Wings channel. Its a 24 hour aviation channel. I don't know if it is available on cable or not. I have a the Dish Network and its is available in the Top 150 package. Needless to say, when I am not watching a movie, I have it on the Discovery Wings channel. Sure I have seen some of the programs but If you are like me, I never get tired of, as my roomate calls them "Airplane shows". Just thought you might want to check it out if you can get it.Bye, ~Maaco~ IP: Logged |

In my area it's part of an ATT "Digital Cable" package which costs an extra $15/month. The rest of the package is mostly garbage so I had to pass.Is it mostly repeats of the old "Wings" program that used to be on the regular Discovery channel? Does anyone have the Discovery Wings CD's? There are 3 of them...one covers aviation up to Midway, then Midway to Hiroshima, then post war. I have the Midway to Hiroshima one. Lot's of info, videos, interactive animations, still photos and campaign histories. I'm not sure if they are still available. IP: Logged |

There is a Discovery store here in Albany that has all the CD's, videos, etc. from the channel. I know where I'm sending my wife Christmas shopping this year ------------------ Brought to you by the campaign for a better Dauntless!

Jerry, Its got everything from Space to Hot air balloons. Quite a wide variety in my opinion. There are some of the old "Wings" programs on but there is usually nothing else on anyway.Love the channel! ~Maaco~ IP: Logged |

One of the few channels I go out of my way to watch. I always liked "The Wing Will Fly..."------------------ Snickers =FC=

Yeah Jerry, I have the Midway to Hiroshima and Blitz to Pearl Harbour set. Great amount of info, the simulators are good for their size too. He-111 in particular.------------------ IP: Logged |

Unfortunately, ATT Digital Cable here does not carry that; I have asked for it, but am told " not enough interest". My reply is always, Excuse me, but my bill is paid, and I am interested - that is more than enough. Then they hang up on me. I blame first Discovery, for making it a seperate channel, then myself for not showing ATT the size of my weapon.I MEANT the cannons on my SPIT!! Gee, can't take you guys anywhere...
