Nope...

FSSDOE makes hardware calls for DirectX and it's brethren ...

Emmulation just won't "cut it"

Sorry

I think I once heard of someone playing SDOE on his G3 or G4, and it runned quite well too if I'm right. Not sure though...

I run FS: SDOE on a PC using just software rendering - it runs alright at maximum resolution, etc. without things being noticeable slow except during low level dogfights. Of course, a lot of the downloadable cause the program to crash but the game as it is out of the box is definitely playable that way - can't see any reason why it wouldn't work on a Mac with emulation.

Flash,

Running on a PC with software rendering is a far cry from running on an emulator. The big problems with runing FSSDOE on the Mac would be DirectX - support for which is poor to terrible. DirectX is not just the hardware 3D part of the game. It handles the joystick interface and the sounds as well.

Highly unlikely that you would get anything playable running on SoftPC.
