Tailslide,

How much does it cost? I never even played the game. Anyway, I just wanted to make a 3d model for the contest.

Warbirds is way too expensive for my liking. If they would just charge a monthly or yearly flat rate, it would be much more acceptable to me.

Anyway, here is the price breakdown according to the official Warbirds website...

Price Plans

All the WarBirds price plans give unlimited access to the Air Combat Arena where the easy flight model and limited plane set give recruits a gentle introduction to the thrills of flying online.

Silver: $9.95 (£6.25) per month, which is applied to your account as a credit toward the hourly charged play of WarBirds. The hourly rate for the full version of WarBirds is $1.99 (£1.25).

Gold: $19.95 (£12.50) per month, which is applied to your account as a credit toward the hourly charged play of WarBirds. The hourly rate for the full version of WarBirds is $1.75 (£1.10).

Platinum: $29.95 (£18.75) per month, which is applied to your account as a credit toward the hourly charged play of WarBirds. The hourly rate for the full version of WarBirds is $1.50 (£0.90).

Spanky here..

You must be one of those new fangled moral guys eh?

Besides it doesn't say you HAVE to use Max it just wants it in max format

couldn't you just make it in Ac3d and convert it to max?

Spanky,

I try to be moral in public.

He was talking about a lot of things I don't understand so I assume they were specific to that software. He even talks about animating in MAX.

Spanky here...

Yeah its wacky that they want you to do the amination in max. to me it would be way better to do it like openplane. I wonder how they will do damage to those gear?

Animation? Hmmmm... I guess their planes use a system similar to that of Quake II models in how the movement of parts is accomplished.
