Yeah I have Sar 1. It seems pretty cool except a couple things.

1. even though it only wants a p90 16megs and a 1meg vid card. It runs pretty choppy on my p2 266 with 192megs and a 16meg banshee.

2. The camera modes. What they call a chase camera is a fixed camera behind and beside your heli, its pretty useless. There no camera like the chase camera in SDOE F3 or the moveabel camera in SDOE F2.

3. The hat doesn't work. You can't look out of the side or up or down through the floor glass like a real heli pilot would do.

4. Loading. You can't install it for some reason. You HAVE TO run it off the cd. And it takes a while to load. even on a so called monster machine according to what it wants 2x speed cd rom (4x recommended)

5. It seems a little buggy. If i quit a mission and go back it just goes to a black screen and plays the music.

The stuff it has going for it? Pretty good graphics for its day. Fully Polygonal. At 1024x768 it would probly be good enough to keep most of us happy. Its not eye candy but it works.

Tons of missions SAR, police actions, combat support, and stunt flying and all kinds of crazy stuff. 45 of them

TONs of helis. 12 of them

Weather, Rain, snow, and different light conditions.

As far as i know theres no demo. I might try copying the CD to my HD and seeing the load time then.

It's no go. I tried copying the game to my HD years ago and even tried hacking the exe file so it'd work. Never had any luck with it. It IS a neat game though
