I've been searching the net for a free app to make animated gifs and I've found SQUAT! Does anybody know of any legal freeware apps?

you can get MS GIF animator there
its fairly easy to use but it doesnt optimize like Ulead does, but then again Ulead isnt free.

Thanks. I got Ulead photoimpact with a scanner recently, but the stupid thing needs a separate app to turn my files into an animated gif. grrrrrr...
