hey folks

I've found this one in the store (half-price) and I was not able to resist.
-> I guess the box was looking to good ;-)

So I went home and . . . was like 'what's THIS??'. It reminded me an old-fashioned WWII-flight-sim for DOS. . whit lots of bugs!

So I played a little bit around with it (not
too much motivated I admit).

And in the End? Well it's not that bad as I tought. It has somme realy nice things in it (especially what I'm missing in SDOE THE CAMPAIGNS!!!)

...so any of you have ever tried it?
...any comments?

Yeah, I smashed it off the wall before taking it back to Electronic Boutique and telling them to shove it. Rank garbage.

gtrel, It was worth a try. Right. I tried it as well. It had some intresting points, but it did not last very long on my HD either.

I liked that you had to operate the cooler flaps manually, but that's about it. I lost interest when my Bf109 got outrun by an I-16.

I kind of lost interest when the AI kept wetting their pants and dirt dove. Other neat features include:

* Sloggy German AC
* 2D Explosions
* Ease of loosing onself in trying to figure out what the heck was going on
* Wingmen? Where'd ya all go off to?

If you do get bored with the shipped game, I think Pete Hawk once posted that if you copy a .mdl (???) file over one of the planes that you can fly, you'll happily be in the plane you just copied whenever you try to fly the one you copied over. Although, you'll still have the same FM as the original.
