I've almost finished Eaw control 2000 and one of the additions is a Tip of the day window when it runs each time.
I'm after as many tips as I can get to add to the list.
The tips take the form of:
Did you know?
You can do this in Eaw...blah blah

Anyone got some fun/unusual/informative tips to include? All credit will be given to suppliers in the Help file.
Email them along.
Cheers

Yea, I still play it, but the only tip I can give you is:"If Himdog told you to do this, DON'T do it!".
Himdog out.

I still play it, still love it.

But the same problem as Himdog here - the game is so complete and now so modified (ECA 2.1 due soon?) that I can't imagine anything more. Looking forward to your ute!

Yeah I'm just after tips for newbies and even regular players for things people may be unaware of. Even if it's along the lines of:
Did you know?
If a 109 gets on your tail....do this...

or

To increase performance in Eaw, try altering this...

etc
I just wanted to polish it off with the tip of the day thing.

Here's a run down on what's new in Eaw control 2000:

Major graphical changes and enhancements.

Added the option that changes your Wingman and Leader symbols placed on the aircraft ID labels.

The option to change your on screen information display and aircraft label ID colour. Adjust the colours for both friendly and enemy information and ID labels.

Context sensitive help. Click on the ? icon in the top right corner of the control then point and click on some of the sliders and buttons to receive a help topic on that option or press the F1 key after selecting a button or slider.

Tip of the day feature added. You can view tips on EAW and related information when the control starts each time. If the tips annoy you or you have read them all, select the box "Show Tips At every Start" to switch this feature off.

Fixed a bug on the Roger Wilco page. Adding a new IP address then reselecting the name from the list gave 'No IP added'.

Added a minimise button that hides Eaw Control on the traybar next to the clock.
Click the right mouse button over the Eaw control icon and choose maximise to view again.

I may still add an item before release but that's the major fixes/additions to it.
The interface is much improved over the previous versions also.

cheers

All that sounds great to me - especially being able to change those text colors!

Thanks RT, I dropped the tip of the day thing, I guess everyone would turn it off so no point.
I'm after the force feedback gain value range if anyone uses one in this. From 0 to ?
Just adding that to it as well.
The ini shows a value of 5000 in it but I don't know if that's full on or not.

cheers

Using the Siderwinder FFX, the max setting number = 9900
..if fly a stearman twice a week, and 7870 is as close to real as I could get it with my setup - depending on your individual stick, your mileage may vary
