OK, so I got the Razer Boomslang mouse about 3 weeks ago. Here is what I think so far of the product. If you don’t know about it here is a little information on it (go to www.razerzone.com for more stuff on it), it is a 5 button super sensitive mouse, the easy way tell you about it is you know far you have to move the mouse to go from one side of the monitor to the other side, well this mouse cuts that movement by 75%. The workmanship is first rate and the movement is so smooth it feels like silk. The click of the buttons are also first rate. This mouse feels like a Mac mouse. You can also change the sensitivity of the mouse so you can get used to the feel. You can change it on the fly, right in the middle of the game if you want to. It uses a USB port, but it can use the PS/2 port if you like. Playing Rogue Spear with it is great, checking your six is no problem just a little movement, before with the old mouse you almost ran off the mouse pad to do this. OK, this mouse is first rate but (you knew there was a but coming didn’t you) the size of it is just too big! I have large hands, I always need extra large gloves but this mouse it just too big for me. If you look at a picture of it you’ll see that the mouse ball is on one side of it. You are to keep part of you’re hand on the pad and you’re finger tips on the mouse but in this position it is not easy to reach the two front buttons, you can do it, it just is not easy and impossible to reach the scroll button. The bottom line on this mouse: a great first rate workmanship mouse with silkily smooth feel, but hard to get used to it. The buttons are set too far from the mouse ball and you’ll sometime find yourself reaching for the buttons.
Himdog out.

Spanky here...

While we are talking about mice. I have a microsoft intelimouse with intelieye

no ball
no mouse pad
no cleaning
perfect tracking on my hairy leg

what more can you ask for?
oh yeah 2 extra buttons for cut and paste
or back and foward on the net and desktop

Kicks ass and i will NEVER go back to a ball mouse

the razer sounds good but it still has a ball and these 2 extra buttons are just so damn handy

Spanky,
I've had an intellimouse for a couple for a couple of months now and will never have a "ball" mouse on my machine again either, really like this thing! My only problem is this:I've never been able to get the two extra buttons to do anything!I know it sounds stupid but I haven't!Any insight would be great,I have it plugged into my usb port, had it in ps/2 first so it's not the port(I think)all other buttons and wheel work fine,I don't really need the extra buttons but hey, they're there!!
