I have a small irritating problem with XP that suddenly appeared. I can no longer change the "user's picture" - the one you click on when logging on. When I mark a picture in the Users account window and click 'Change picture' I get an error message saying: "Automation server can't create object". Anyone know something about that? The only thing that springs to mind that could have caused this problem to appear is that I changed my default image viewer from that crappy "Windows Picture and Fax Viewer" to IrfanView instead... wouldn't surprise me if MS didn't think about that hapening.

BTW Does anyone know of some messageboard where one can post these kind of questions regarding problems with XP??

Otherwise XP seems to be working great for me. No more of those crashes that always appeared in Win98 for me...

New computer here too, tons faster than my old PII300 =)

AMD Athlon XP 1600+ (OC to 1,48GHz ~1700+)
256Mb DDR at 282MHz (>2Gb/s)
EPOX 8KHA+ (VIA KT266A)
GeForce 256
35*C/48*C

SDOE and IL2 working great!!!!

Ok, I found out how to solve it. To get rid of the worthless MS picture viewer I previously unregistered shimgvw.dll - reregistering it made it work again... but of course I'm now stuck with that default viewer again regardless of how I associate the filetypes. Sigh.
