At simhq i am named, 'madaboutsims' because of the amount of sims i play and enjoy, each has its own strengths and weaknesses so i figure the best thing is to play them all Here is some in my list, to many to remember all, right SDOE SDOE OPWW1 WW2f AW AH EAW IL-2 Panzer Commander LC B-172 OFP BoB CFS1 CFS2 you? Just wondered if there is anyone esle out there like me. I go to some forums and see the il-2 is better than etcetc, or EAW is better than etcetcetc, i think that all are good in there own ways, some need work with mods etc but after that they are fine. I have a collection of WWII sims and a few others, modern stuff and civilian (R6 series, Fleet Command, FA18, GPL, MSTS, etc). When it comes to WWII though, here's what I have in order of amount of play:SDOE IL2 Wolfenstein Hidden and Dangerous Steel Panthers: World At War other games I have but haven't tried out, or played in a long time: Silent Hunter II Panzer Commander Fighting Steel My dream would be to have a collection of fully-featured sims: flight sim, surface naval sim, sum sim, FPS sim (SAS a la HD style and another more OPF style)and a tank sim all of the same calibre as IL2. none, I stopped playing SDOE the day I started building for it. The only games I play right now are Cossacks offline, and Unreal Tournament both on and offlineIP: Logged |

I for one am very selective about the sims I buy, subject matter, free time available (I have a 3 year old, and a baby due very soon), and money all being major limiting factors. The ones I still play are:FS-SDOE Tornado Fighting Steel EF2000 IP: Logged |

Combat Mission:Beyond Overlord is a pretty good turn-based tactical war-game, available from Battlefront. Go here for more info: www.battlefront.com/products/worldwar/cm (its only available for purchase via internet)On a different level, at the advice of 3dp at his site, I visited www.theunderdogs.org and am currently playing 'the clue!', in which you play a crook in post-war London, trying to climb (or descend! ) the underworld ladder by pulling off robberies and heists - which must be planned meticulously. Very absorbing and highly recommended.
