Well, didn't have much of a hobby till a day or two ago. I found some old rifles in the garage and decided to check them out, turns out they are pretty valuable. Got a Remington-produced M1903 that is in beautiful condition. Then there is one that I call "The experiment". This one is my attempt at the restoration of an incomplete weapon. It's a 1917 U.S.Enfield, right now its just the stock with the barrel and action, but it needs alot of work, lots of pieces, LOTS OF RUST REMOVER. What about you?? What are your hobbies?IP: Logged |

I like to start flame wars and get people bent of shape over stupid stuff, like politics, for no apparent reason. It's pretty fun. Other than that, I spend most of my free time working for the local Young Conservatives of Texas chapter. I find that very fulfilling as well.IP: Logged |

I collect die-cast models of WW2 aircraft and vehicles (Armour, Ertl, Victoria, Days Gone, Solido, etc...) I also collect Roco plastic models of WW2 tanks and vehicles aswell. I collect WWI, WWII, Korea and Vietman militaria (Field equipment, uniforms, helmets, books on it all, etc...) I also do WW2 reinactments (Tora Tora Tora show at Houston Airshow and tacticals) I sketch aswell (Mainly scale view drawings of WW2 aircraft, some buildings and sci-fi stuff I come up with in my head) OP-WWI is of course a hobby of mine aswell. My computer is also my hobby. Ive spent so much time and money on it it has to be! For a while, I also collected the origonal James Bond and Man From U.N.C.L.E. books. IP: Logged |

When not lashed to the keyboard modelling, I tinker with motorcycles in the garage ....Got a 1959 Triumph that needs assembling, in pre-65 trials trim, plus a 'Guzzi LeMans to re-build. My former pride and joy was mangled back in May when some myopic w**nker ran into it. It will re-emerge, lighter, meaner, and painted a funny colour .... Other hobbies include fault finding the fuel injection system on the Gpz1100........ on a weekly basis ------------------ The Pilot formerly known as W.T.G. I think I have too many hobbies :-)Razer and SV, didn't know you flew r/c also, cool. I fly r/c, build web sites, play with custom cars, build sim planes, collect early sixties Japanese guitars and transistor radios, rebuild juke boxes, and now I am into robots. I got a Sony Abio and a couple of I-Cybies and some other crazy robot thingies. My wife says no more hobbies but these robots sure are addicting and taking over the house. Opps, forgot. PC games of course. Making my way through Return to Castle Wolfie but getting very distracted by Ghost Recon demo. Paul [This message has been edited by Hawk (edited 12-20-2001).] IP: Logged |

Hawk, have you seen the Basic-stamp robots? Basic stamps are microcontrollers which run an imbedded basic program that you download into them. They are fully programmable and can control model airplane servos and read sensors. They are pretty cool. I built this one a while ago: I don't think they sell that kit anymore but they have a lot of other cool stuff: http://www.parallaxinc.com/ IP: Logged |
