For more information, go here:

---------------------------------------------

DOWNLOAD INFORMATION:

For now, the Ground Pack has NO PAR file. If there's enough demand for one, then I'll happily oblige. But without a PAR file, you guys will find it easier to mod this pack to high heaven.

The Ground Pack is 30MB normally, but luckily is only 15 MB in size when compressed

Ok guys, let's hope I get it right this time!
http://members.nbci.com/harman_5/GroundPack/DrivableGroundObjectPack_part1.zip (4.86MB)
http://members.nbci.com/harman_5/GroundPack/DrivableGroundObjectPack_part2.zip (4.86MB)
http://members.nbci.com/harman_5/GroundPack/DrivableGroundObjectPack_part3.zip (4.82MB)
http://members.nbci.com/harman_5/GroundPack/DrivableGroundObjectPack_part4.zip (615KB)

After downloading the pieces, join them, and upon joining, a setup.exe will be created totalling 15MB. Simply run this setup.exe and follow the prompts to install the pack. Simple!

To 'join' these pieces after downloading, you'll need a program called "HJ Split". HJ Split is FREEWARE.

To download HJ Split, click below:
http://members.nbci.com/harman_5/GroundPack/hjsplit.zip (169KB)

If you are unsure how to use HJ Split to join the files, click below to download the updated "How To" written by me:
http://members.nbci.com/harman_5/GroundPack/HowToJoin.txt (1KB)

Just in case, I will insert most of the instructions from the above file into this post, please follow the directions carefully:

-------------------------

The pieces of the pack are zipped to prevent possible file corruption during up/down load.

1. Make sure you have downloaded ALL pieces of the ground pack. Please download them to the same directory.

2. Unzip each part of the pack.

3. Go inside each unzipped folder and move each piece of the pack (piece files end in *.00*) to the SAME directory. You should see all the pieces in the same folder/directory arranged nicely.

4. Start HJ Split. Click "Join".

5. Click the small "Input" button in the resulting window.

6. Browse for the first piece of the ground pack (the file ending in .001).

7. Click OK, the rest of the pieces will be found and joined automatically PROVIDING: they are all in the same folder/directory.

8. After joining is complete, exit HJ Split.

That's it!

Now just locate the 'joined' setup exe in the location the pieces were before you joined them, and run the setup exe to install the ground pack. Refer to the setup program for more information regarding the ground pack.

----------------------------

OR

If you wish to download this Ground Pack as a whole, then please click the following link:

ftp://ftp.3dgw.com/incoming/GroundPack.zip

If the above doesn't work, try this one which is also a simfiles link:

DOWNLOAD GP WHOLE

As I said before, you'll need to add some lines to your Startup.ppf to get the weapons the vehicles use to work, please make sure you add them. If you are uncomfortable with messing with your Startup.ppf, then please first MAKE A BACKUP of your existing Startup.ppf file in "Media\" and then download my Startup.ppf which has most if not all sm and ppf references for SDOE:
http://members.nbci.com/harman_5/GroundPack/startup.ppf (4KB)

My web site also has these download links.

If you're wondering about the extra schemes, please wait, because of the extra vehicles I've added, these may take a while coming, feel free to make your own schemes in the mean time though. Apart from this, I will now set out seperate each vehicle from the pack and release them seperately for people who don't want the whole sheebang.

Fingers crossed it will work this time...

Hmmmmmm...after I follow your directions (at least I think I have) I get a file that when I double click says "this file cannot be run in DOS mode".

What have I done wrong?

Harman - email Dogma, if you ask nicely I'm sure he'll host it at simfiles for you. You can get his email from www.simfiles.com I believe.

Just installed the whole shebang and took the BMW for some down hill racing and WHOOHOOOOO! I got airborne and lost the sidecar on touchdown.
We're gonna need some Alpine troops on skis soon! Great fricken job Harman, it adds an entire new dimension!

Thanks Diego

I knew someone would try a downhill rush in the R75, I know I did...over and over and over and over again

I tried to get the motorcycle to balance on its own after detaching from the sidecar, but I realised I wouldn't be able to do in the timeframe I had, all's not lost though.

Thanks again

Hi thijs,

The Nebelwerfer would be a nice addition to the pack, I hope to work on the Katyusha (Russian rocket truck) soon so this is similar to the Nebel. Maybe I'll have a go at it after the Kat, if I can find a good model for it.

Cheers

The ground pack is available as a whole zip from simfiles now. The link is above, but I'll post it here for clarity. Size is 15MB:
http://www.simfiles.com/scripts/singlefile.php3?fileid=482

(the link has been updated to the proper location at simFiles now)

Have you guys tried downloading the 4 parts individually and then combining them? (See Harman's 1st post of this thread). Should go better than a 15 mb download at one time.

Hey guys,

As Jerry said, try downloading them from NBCi in parts. The links to the part download are above. After downloading all pieces, join them (using HJ Split) and you should be fine. 5mb parts should be easier to download. Maybe it's because of traffic at simfiles that you're not able to get it past a certain percentage. It just got added to simfiles about 1 - 2 days ago so theres probably lots of people trying to get it in one go...probably.
