Topic: Boulton Paul Defiant

I was making a Boulton Paul Defiant when my computer was wiped clean of every thing last week. The plane is a two man crew single engine fighter with a rear firing turret of four .303 guns. if anyone is interested in making the plane I have all the stats on the plane. i have given up making anything at all.IP: Logged |

I have the beginnings of a defiant.. it is a seperate plane named defiant with a turret on the back and the FM and loadouts partially done. I like using it offline for BoB missions. It still looks like a spit but you may find it an good foundation to start from. If you need it please email me. Best of luck in any case ! TS

Yep, gotta have something for those German aircraft to feed on. The Defiant was a piece of junk and a waste of materials. No forward firing guns, slow and couldn't maneuver out of it's own way. Kind of like the Brit version of the Stuka. Cannon Fodder! Still, one can never have too many toys in ones games.IP: Logged |

Theres a help file with Openplane that tells you how to make a VERY rough defiant. It uses the Typhoon with I guess would be better to start with.Snake IP: Logged |

The typhoon has an older FM without seperate fuel tanks, etc. TS

well, I too started doing this about a year ago but never had time, and never really acheived much, but I have some decent three views and profiles/pictures plus some stats that dauntless sent me.FWIW the hurricane would probably be the best base, if you were going to do a fake defiant. If you squint, it almost looks the right! Plus its a damn fine aircraft, well it is now ------------------
