Like the original, this Sea Mosquito is a modified Mosquito Mk VI and is the last in a trilogy of land based RAF aircraft converted for carrier operations by the Royal Navy. (the others being the Sea Spitfire and Sea Hurricane)The Sea Mosquito has an effective carrier launch and landing system that makes operating from correctly scaled carriers like the Ark Royal or Zuikaku practical and fun. This heavy twin engine aircraft needs RATO (rocket assisted take off) packs to launch from the deck and the ignition of these rockets is controlled by the pilot.
In the download there is a comprehensive guide on how to operate the Sea Mosquito from the Ark Royal or Zuikaku and nine training missions. Features include:
*Two animated crew (pilot's head moves with the stick and the navigator's head tracks enemy targets)
*Updated damage model; for example if an engine suffers significant damage, the landing gear inside the engine cowling will not lower, making landing interesting
*Load out includes a working torpedo (courtesy of ArgonV) as well as rockets and bombs
*Engine exhaust pipes, moving control stick, radio mast, antenna wires, tail hook, folding wings and radome
*Radiator grills and engine air scoops (added via skin)
*Radar display box in cockpit (courtesy of Royohboy)
*Aircraft can be flown from the navigator's position
Special thanks to ArgonV for his parachute fixes and AUI for his merchant ship. (included in the Sea Mosquito zip file)
