This is a modification of 5.3 plane pack's mosquito. It has two crew with moving heads / arms. The pilot's head follows the 'stick' position and the navigators' head tracks targets (checking the 'six' in particular). The crewman's arm operates a 'Gee' electronic navigation console(courtesy of 'Royohboys' excellent Ju-188) and the pilot's arm moves as the bomb bay is opened. It adds a little more realism to the 'mossie' and it's neat seeing two chutes deploy when you shoot it down.

I've modified the damage model a little giving more realistic engine / prop failures and fixed the disappearing 'bent' props bug. Also there is a loadout option to use a Molins 57mm cannon, thanks to Elric's great work. The aircraft can also be flown from the crewman's position and is intended for off-line use.

Few suggestions... On the Ju-88A4, you need to align the gun sight, delete a view and make it where the two crew members are actually 2 crew members. Right now they are "joined" together when you bail out.

You mean they bail at the same time or actually are merged together? I get that with the 3 crew I have in the B-29.

There are actually merged together. (looks like a 4 legged alien)

Thanks Mace. This is good stuff.

A couple of queries. My pilot's helmet is partly white. Not the navigator's. Is this unique to me?

There is a tiff in the zip called Luffpilotf - this wouldn't open. Is it necessary?

The uniforms appear grey rather than brown? Have I missed something? Put the files in the wrong places? I put all the tiffs in the Mosq textures file.

Thanks. This is a really good idea.

I did a quick change on the Ju-88a4 to put the pilot on his seat but forgot to fix the gun sight alignment. I've now done that and posted the update.

The 'four legged alien pilots' is an interesting one. I'm using patch 1.5 and get clean bail outs (the sitting pilot vanishes and the standing pilot appears) in both the Ju-88 and Mossie. I've posted a couple of bail out pics so I'd be interested to find out what patches people are using who are having this bug.

If you pay peanuts you get monkeys. Xoom.com does some really odd things so if the web site or JPG links don't work just click, drag, copy and then paste the address into your browser location window and press enter. You sometimes need to try twice!

Found the 'four legged' pilot problem. If you toggled and took command of the crew position then pressed CTRL E and bailed out you would not get hidding of the sitting crew figure. Fixed this problem and posted update.

CTD Fix. This aircraft is based on the mosquito in Plane Pack 5.3 so the airfoil mosqu.sm is required. I've posted a new zip at http://members.xoom.com/sdoe_mace which contains this airfoil file and instructions on how to alter your startup.ppf file.

Have also sent the new zip to people who were having CTD's.
